Another school year has come and gone. Even though this was an unusual year, we pressed on and finished the year! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us next year.
With that being said, I’ve got some good news and some sad news to tell you…first the sad news…
Ms. Daviglus’ last day as Head of School will be June 30. She has done an outstanding job over the last few years despite being called to active duty with the National Guard. Even while she was performing her duty, she stayed on top of everything with the school. She was able to do this because of her tremendous support staff and her leadership skills. Thank you, Ms. Daviglus, for everything you have done for us!
Well, now for some good news…
First of all, all of our current teachers have signed their contracts for next year.
Secondly, re-enrollment is up! If you have one of those who have already re-enrolled, thank you! If you haven’t, make sure that you do very soon. With school going all in-person next year, we are anticipating a larger number of students than we had this year and I would hate to have to put you on a waiting list. So don’t delay, re-enroll today!
Thirdly, Summer Camp is back! It begins on June 7th with Mrs. Scott once again leading the way. Registration forms are available in the school office and online. Please see Mrs. Scott if you have any questions regarding our summer camp.
Finally, we have hired a new Head of School. He has been a vital part of Northwest and will now take over as our new Head of School. It is my high honor and privilege to introduce to you our new Head of School, Mr. Yohan McGlashan.
Mr. McGlashan graduated from NCA in 1997. After college, he came back and taught band and Bible for many years. He has also served in our church as the Pastor’s Assistant under Pastor Andrew Summers and was promoted last year to Associate Pastor and has been working with me ever since.
Our school has had a couple of previous Head of School’s who were also the Associate Pastor of the church. It makes for a great partnership as the school is a ministry of the Northwest Baptist Church.
You will hear more about his theme for next year which is THRIVE. This means that we are not going to survive but we are going to move forward and begin to THRIVE in our ministries. I can’t wait for the new school year to begin. He has a great support staff with him and he is what Northwest represents. I encourage you when you see him, congratulate him on becoming the next Head of School of NCA!
Have a great summer and we’ll see you in August!
Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor David L. Chase
Northwest Baptist Church
